Established in 1995, Silverman Construction Program Management is comprised of a team of professionals experienced in helping clients navigate the complexities of commercial construction programs. Silverman provides exclusive representation for the owner in their contractual and management relationships with architects and contractors. The company is dedicated to serving its clients in an environment of trust, objectivity and open communication, free from conflicts of interest. Arnold P. Silverman, President and Chairman of the firm, was selected as the 2006 Small Busines Person of the Year by the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.

Business Challenge
Silverman Construction Program Management has grown considerably over recent years and has realized tremendous business success during that time. As a result of this growth the company has become increasingly reliant on its I.T. systems and network infrastructure. The number of computer systems and applications in use has expanded and any downtime of those systems causes an immediate negative impact on company productivity, revenue, and earnings.

Silverman Construction Program Management has outsourced its I.T. management and support for the past five years, but could not locate a partner with the right mix of capabilities, resources and personnel. Silverman contracted with four different I.T. vendors over the past five years and still struggled with system downtime, unexplained outages, poor response time, and other recurring problems. Silverman needed to find a reliable partner that could offer the complete array of services needed to properly maintain, manage, and extend its I.T. infrastructure.

Solution Approach
In 2006, Silverman Construction Program Management hired Northridge Systems to take over its I.T. management and support. Northridge Systems provides Silverman with a comprehensive I.T. management service including helpdesk support, remote support, onsite support, system monitoring, preventative maintenance, and training.

In addition to the tactical I.T. management services, Northridge Systems also provides regular strategic advice via its Virtual CIO service. As the Virtual CIO, a Northridge Systems senior consultant meets quarterly with the Silverman management team to review strategic initiatives and discuss the overall health of the I.T. environment.
