JAS Forwarding Worldwide is a global freight forwarding company founded in 1978 in Milan, Italy. The company has experienced consistent growth and success over its three-plus decades in business and now has major operations in South America, Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, India, Asia, and the United States.
Northridge partnered with JAS to design and develop a cohesive collaboration solution across its intranet, customer portal, and public website. JAS realized that it could drive improved business efficiency and customer retention though better collaboration in every regard. Northridge engaged in strategic analysis of the business needs, designed the user experience of each environment, and developed the highly-integrated solutions on top of the Microsoft SharePoint platform.
The content management and collaboration tools inherent in SharePoint allow the appropriate staff to manage the website, internal content, and customer relationships. The solution included the ability to manage Flash-based content on the public site, providing an enhanced experience with robust flexibility.
